Guidance and Counseling Service
Guidance and Counseling Service is one of the main services offered by Wifaq Center through the Guidance Section of the Consulting Department. It is provided according to the latest scientific theories and the latest professional recommendations and practices. The service aims to support the target groups to help them positively cope with pressures of life and how to deal with them.
It includes the following areas:
- Developmental consultations
- Social consultations.
- Psychological consultations
- Educational consultations.
- Legal advice
- Sharia consultations
The customer can request service through three means:
- Direct consultation (personal attendance at the center) provided through the Guidance Section.
- Phone consultations, which are provided through the Remote Consulting Department
- Online consultations (through Wifaq e-mail and the accounts on social networking sites) by answering all questions and inquiries to directed to the Center.
The service is provided by a professional team of specialized counselors and consultants who follow up the implementation of the treatment plans; apply the psychological and behavioral tests that may be required by the diagnosis and draw up the treatment plan which is done through the Tests and Measurements Department that is a specialized department to apply psychological tests and measurements of all types (personality - mental abilities - Diagnosis of mental and behavioral disorders - projection - trends and tendencies - learning problems - and others) for the target groups with a view to provide a diagnosis and treatment of cases accurately and objectively and analyze those results to help family counselors and consultants at Wifaq Center in the provision of their services, and the development of guidance and treatment recommendations to those targeted cases through psychological examination or evaluation reports.
Furthermore, the Guidance and Counseling Service provides cognitive and behavioral therapy to clients in order to provide them with behavioral skills that enhance marital compatibility and family understanding.
Family Reconciliation Service
This service is carried out through the Family Reconciliation Section of the Consultancy Department. It provides clients with everything that can settle the disputes, carry out the mediation work and make the reconciliation efforts between the disputing parties, in cases referred by the competent courts to the Center or from the receiving groups, or cases referred by competent agencies. The service aims to contribute to the stability of families in society and encourage positive interaction between the parties to the marital relationship and family.
Parental Care Service
This service is provided through the Parental Care Section, one of the sections of the Counseling Department. It supervises the mechanism for implementing judicial rulings and judgments and amicable agreements concerning the organization of custodial matters for children of divorcees or children of broken families who have family disputes.
The service provides a safe environment for the child, where the Parental Care Section acts as a link between the child and parents, in order to enhance family communication and cohesion; works on instilling positive concepts of family cohesion; and cooperates with the child's parents or caregivers to raise them in a healthy environment that preserves their rights.
In addition, this service prepares and rehabilitates children for the stage that follows the separation or divorce of parents. It spares them the negative effects of divorce and seeks to enable parents to care for and maintain their children and carry out their duties in a safe environment away from conflicts.
Community Awareness Service
The Community Awareness Department offers this service by taking responsibility for the preparation, implementation, follow-up and evaluation of all awareness-raising educational, training and rehabilitation projects for the Center's objectives, strategy and competencies in all issues related to family cohesion and stability; including activities, training courses, workshops, audiovisual lectures and so on, which are directed to al sects of the society of different ages.
This service is intended to raise awareness on family issues; mitigate the effects of rapid changes in the family in Qatar, and raise the efficiency of family members to manage a stable and cohesive family life.
Remote Consultation Service
It is a service that provides specialized social, psychological, parenting, personal development, Islamic-law-related, and legal consultations; the service is accessible to all clients and the public, especially those who are unable to come in person to the center to obtain direct service, as well as to those who reside outside the State of Qatar.

Psychological Tests & Measurements Service
It is a specialized service, provided by the Wifaq via the Psychological Tests & Measurements Division- the Consultation Department, which is concerned with administering psychological tests and measures of all kinds, for individuals, and marriage and family issues; assessment for psychological and behavioral disorders; measurement of marital adjustment and marital relationship dysfunction, and attitude's measurement, for the purposes of conducting accurate and objective assessment and providing appropriate therapy, interpreting the tests, and providing counselors and consultants with recommendations for counseling and psychotherapy that can help counselors develop appropriate psychotherapeutic plans and interventions.
What does the service include?
- Administration of various psychological tests and measures.
- Interpretation of psychological tests' scores.
- Preparing, building, designing, and standardization of test battery and psychological tests, that are adapted to the Qatari environment.
